Responsible gambling

The money comes before the bet

Use only money you can afford to lose. Never use rent, groceries, debt payments or emergency savings to fund gambling. If a membership fee competes with essentials, keep the free access.

Set limits before the games start

Choose spending and time limits in advance. A loss is not a reason to increase them. Do not chase, borrow to bet, or treat betting as income. Taking a week off is a complete decision.

You do not need a bet to enjoy the game

A strong opinion is not an obligation to wager. If a number moves beyond the stated threshold, pass. Nothing in this publication promises a profitable bankroll.

When it stops being fun

If you are hiding losses, losing sleep, chasing money or struggling to stop, step away and seek support. In the United States, the National Problem Gambling Helpline (call or text 1-800-MY-RESET) can connect you with help. Visit ncpgambling.org for current support options. Use your operator’s cooling-off, deposit-limit and self-exclusion tools where available.

Adults only

Membership purchases are for people 21 and older. Betting laws and age rules vary by location. Broke with Hope does not accept bets or determine whether wagering is lawful for you.
